Last Tuesday, the National Fraud Investigation Unit arrested Azriel, who serves as chairman of the Kiryat Ata Planning and Construction Committee, two sons, Tom and Ben, and three other businessmen. On Thursday, contractor Yossi Lati from Kiryat Ata was also arrested in the same case. The suspects were arrested on suspicion of bribery. , Money laundering, tax offenses and more, each according to his share.
Last week, the detention of the three business owners and Azriel’s youngest son, Ben, was extended once again. Everyone’s detention, as well as Latti’s, has been extended until tomorrow (Monday).

They subsequently sought to extend his detention until Thursday. Azriel’s defense attorney, Adv. Sasson Bar-Oz, agreed to extend his detention under an undertaking that if there are no developments in the investigation these days, he will be released on Thursday.
Following the agreement of the parties, Judge Ziad Falah approved the request and detained him for five days.
Tom’s detention has been extended until tomorrow.
