The Dialogue Forum of African Magistrates examines its 2024-2026 action plan in Addis Ababa

The members and founders of the Dialogue Forum of African Magistrates also examined and approved new memberships of African judges which will be announced at the next general assembly of the Forum planned in Morocco.

This meeting of the Forum, organized for the first time at the headquarters of the Pan-African Institution, thus examined and recommended within the framework of the 2024-2026 action plan the constitution of several Commissions, in particular the Scientific, Ethics and ethics.

The members and founders of the Dialogue Forum of African Magistrates also examined the modalities for the designation of representatives of the Forum at the level of the five regions of the African continent.

The meeting was culminated by the adoption of legal and judicial themes which will be debated during the next rounds of the Dialogue Forum of African Magistrates.

Chaired by Moroccan Magistrate Jamila Sedqi, the Forum includes around forty Magistrates from more than 18 African countries from the five regions of Africa.

This forum constitutes a scientific center, with judicial training, in the form of a professional association, subject to Moroccan law.

It aspires to highlight the competence of Moroccan and African magistrates in general, by offering an area of ​​exchange of expertise and experience and by contributing to the development of legal heritage, we read in the presentation of the Forum.

It also aims to ensure communication between Moroccan magistrates and their counterparts in African States, so as to allow their mutual knowledge of the applicable legal and judicial system, and to contribute to their rapprochement by identifying points of similarity and difference, exchanging expertise and professional experience in order to serve the judiciary and elevate it to the appropriate rank of symbol of justice and trust, it is emphasized.

It aims, among other things, to raise awareness of regional legal and judicial institutions at the African level, organize and participate in meetings, face-to-face or virtual legal seminars, in Morocco and abroad and consolidate values, ethics and traditions. professionals and benefit from international good practices in this area by appreciating their applicability in the countries of the African continent in addition to promoting cooperation and partnerships with international and regional bodies and organizations in relation to the objectives of the forum.
