by time news

Tamara Dávila, released from political prison and exiled by the regime of Daniel Ortega and Rosario Murillo, gave her testimony before the Permanent Council of the Organization of American States on Wednesday, March 29.

The representation of Chile gave up his chair to Dávila so that he could testify at this session, in which the Permanent Council discussed the regime’s contempt of the release orders and precautionary measures issued by the Inter-American Court of Human Rights, in favor of the political prisoners in Nicaragua.

Dávila said that his testimony is not unique, but that it represents the 222 political prisoners released and the 37 prisoners of conscience who remain in the prisons of the Sandinista dictatorship, in addition, he called for action by the OAS and the rest of the international community.
