The Disciplinary Committee of the Professional Football League (LFP) dismissed on Wednesday the file concerning the alleged racist insults of Clermont captain Johan Gastien denounced by Brest striker Islam Slimani, after the Ligue 1 match in Clermont ( 3-1), on October 23.

«After investigation of the file, hearing of the player and the representatives of the clubs, the commission notes that it does not have sufficiently convincing elements allowing it to establish the materiality of the facts of remarks of a discriminatory nature of the player Johan Gastien against player Islam Slimani during the game“, said the LFP in a press release. At the end of this meeting of the 12th day of the championship, the Algerian international Islam Slimani had complained of racist insults on the part of the Clermont captain Johan Gastien, who had for his part defended himself from having held such words.
