Watan Al-Youm – Acting Director General of Lebanese Public Security Major General Elias Al-Bisari revealed the arrest of a spying network for Israel at Beirut airport, noting that it consisted of two people who “tried to leave Lebanon.”
The Acting Director General of Lebanese Public Security, Major General Al-Bisari, said that the security apparatus carried out the necessary investigations regarding the spy cell that was working for Israel, stressing that it posed a threat to Lebanon.
And he noted in a speech during the celebration of the 78th anniversary of the establishment of the Lebanese General Security: “We carried out the necessary investigations, and this cell posed a threat to Lebanon.”
Al-Bisari stressed that “combating terrorism is a priority, just as combating spy networks in favor of the Israeli enemy is an absolute priority.”
It is noteworthy that the security services of the Lebanese state reveal, from time to time, espionage networks that they say work for Israel.
The existence of the work of those networks that you talk about and present through the media is not limited to one region without another, but rather its espionage activities are distributed to many Lebanese regions.
