The Parliamentary Finance Committee confirmed at present, Wednesday, that the disagreement within the draft funds for 2021 continues to be over the article relating to the Kurdistan area’s share, noting that the provincial councils have prompted the waste of the areas’ improvement budgets.
Committee member Consultant Mahasin Hamdoun stated to the “Al-Ashra” program, which is proven on the Al-Iraqiya Information Channel, adopted by the (INA), that “the funds dispute is over Article 11 relating to the area’s share,” stating that “the Iraqi Forces Alliance agrees on the area’s share, whereas The Shiite forces reject it.”
Relating to the governorate initiatives, Hamdoun defined, “The governorate councils had a significant position within the corruption within the governorates, as they prompted the waste of the areas’ improvement budgets as a result of it’s inside their jurisdiction.”
She continued, “There isn’t a justice in distributing initiatives between the governorates,” indicating that “the ministries haven’t succeeded in finishing strategic initiatives.”
