The men’s ski marathon race scheduled for Saturday will take place despite the weather.

Bad weather and severe frost forced the organizers of the Olympic Games in Beijing to shorten the distance. Instead of 50 km, skiers will have to overcome 30 km, the International Ski Federation said in a statement.

The start of the race was also delayed for an hour – instead of 9.00 Moscow time, it starts at 10.00.

Russia in this race is represented by Alexander Bolshunov, Denis Spitsov, Ivan Yakimushkin and Artem Maltsev.
