A divisional secretariat officer who was undergoing treatment at the Jaffna teaching hospital died in an accident in Vadamaratsi East Vetralikeni area.

Yogachandran Pragalathan, who worked as a development officer in the Maruthankeni Divisional Secretariat, died.

On the 2nd of last, he took his wife, who is a teacher, on a motorcycle and dropped her at the school and on the way back she was seriously injured in an accident with another motorcycle and she was admitted to the Jaffna Teaching Hospital for treatment.

However, it was reported that he died the day before yesterday without treatment.
