Already sanctioned at the start of the season with a withdrawal of six points, the Grenoblois received, this Thursday, a new withdrawal.
The Grenoble club, currently sixth in Pro D2, was sanctioned with a withdrawal of six new points for financial problems, the National Rugby League (LNR) announced on Thursday.
These points are added to the six already withdrawn from the Isérois in October for the same reasons. The FCG was thus punished by a withdrawal “of five points including one point suspended” due to an “inconsistency and/or implausibility of the updated budget”, detailed the LNR in a press release.
Grenoble also received a “withdrawal of four points including two suspended points” because of “non-compliance with the regulatory provisions and decisions” of the French rugby disciplinary council. The people of Grenoble, who can appeal, have also received a suspended fine of 10,000 euros. The FCG hosts Nevers on Friday for the 14th day of Pro D2.
