Guatemala in the documentary “It’s a Beautiful World” with Canadian explorer Jeff Fuchs

He Canadian explorer and writer Jeff Fuchs I travel to Guatemala in April 2023 to learn more about the country, its mysteries and also about those projects that seek to make positive changes and thus show them in the documental «It’s a Beautiful World»which in Spanish translates to «It’s a beautiful world».

The Antigua Guatemalathe archaeological site of Holmul, in Petén, and the Lake Atitlan were the places where the documentary was recorded. The Guatemalan chef Mirciny Moliviatis She was invited to the series and accompanied them to some of the destinations, so you can also see her in the episodes that were recorded in the country. How cool!

The program follows Fuchs as he ventures across countries around the world to learn more about communities and their work in providing sustainable solutions to the major problems facing our planet. Among the Guatemalans and projects featured in the series are, in addition to Mirciny Moliviatis, Juan Pablo Romero Fuentes of Patojismo, Martha Lidia Oxí of the MAIA Impact organizationClaudia Bosch of Pintando Santa Catarina Palopó, and archaeologist Francisco Estrada-Belli, who leads the Holmul project in Petén. Each of them seeks to generate change by providing opportunities for women, children and adolescents in their communities.

Miniseries of 5 projects dedicated to Guatemala

Initially, the documentary was only going to feature two episodes about our country, but on July 26 it was announced that they would dedicate an entire series to Guatemala. The television program shared the news on its social networks with this message: “We’ve been keeping a secret for you… There were so many stories to tell in Guatemala that we turned it into a FIVE (yes, five!) part miniseries.”

Mirciny Moliviatis said that the show will be available on Amazon Prime worldwide and that in addition to being in front of the camera, she also had the experience of being part of the content production. It will undoubtedly be a spectacular series!

Where will it premiere?

The documentary with two episodes about our country premiered its first episode in March 2023 and is available in some countries on Amazon Prime.
