In the last three days, the performances of the play “The Mother of the Dog”, staged by the Epirus Artistic Stage “Synthesis”, directed by Giorgos Nakos and stage adaptation by Eleftherias Pantazis, have received excellent reviews and won over the theater-loving public of Ioannina.

The show completes its cycle on Friday 9, Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 February, at 8.30 pm, in the lobby of the Ermis Hotel (Sina 2).
“The dog’s mother” is a journey through memory and modern Greek history through the eyes of Roubinis Meskaris, a retired theater artist with the stage name Raraou. Through her fragmentary narratives, in her own special way, about her long-suffering life, we get to know the peripheral characters of Matesi’s book of the same name, on which the stage adaptation of the play is based.
It is a performance, where laughter often alternates with emotion, with images from occupied Greece bringing to life the masterpiece text of Pavlos Matesi and guiding the admittedly excellent interpretation of Eleftheria Pantazis.
The ticket costs 9 euros and 7 euros for the reduced ticket (unemployed, disabled, students, students, over 65). The price includes a glass of wine. Due to the limited number of seats, a reservation is necessary by calling 6947691698.
