A captivating acoustic harmonic duo, Sarah & Ismail transported the audience on a musical journey, delicately combining Amazigh songs with vocal harmonies and acoustic instruments.
The opening night of this event was also marked by an unforgettable concert hosted by the Congolese singer, Maître Gims, whose musical style is influenced by hip-hop and dance, with pop and Latin touches.
With more than 18 concerts over nine days, the first edition of Amazingh Taghazout Bay Festival, which will continue until the 10th of this month, is planning a vibrant musical program.
The first phase of the line-up is marked by the participation of several renowned artists including Dadju, Fehd Benchemsi & The Lallas, Oum, Mehdi Qamoum, Gnawa Diffusion, Jubantouja, Africa Band-Moroccan Tribute to Pink Floyd, Julian Marley, Mehdi Nassouli and Lartiste.
According to the organizers, in addition to the concerts, “The Village of Taghazout Bay” will become the place to live for visitors and locals of the region.
Located in Tawenza Square, 20m from the main stage, the Village will house a food court which will host food trucks (local and international cuisines), a creators’ space and a gaming zone.
He continued that Taghazout Bay, rich with its vibrant Berber culture, white sand beaches and the majestic Atlas Mountains as a backdrop, offers a unique setting for a music festival, noting that the name “Amazingh” comes from an inspired combination of “Amazigh” and “Amazing” that reflects a balance between the region’s cultural heritage and the extraordinary experience the festival promises to deliver.
Amazingh Taghazout Bay Festival aims to become the must-see event of the summer, celebrating the cultural richness and creative energy of the region, according to the cultural production agency “Seven PM”.
