The VIII Edition of MumArt opens today, with a tribute to Paolo De Cecco, at the Michetti Museum in Francavilla al Mare. After more than a century, 13 works by the co-founder of the Michettian Last Supper will once again be exhibited in the coastal town in Abruzzo. This year’s exhibition, which can be visited until 21 May, will see over 130 works in the underground rooms of the Michetti Museum, which will also appear in a catalogue, edited by Franco Di Tizio, for the part relating to De Cecco, and by Maria Cristina Ricciardi, for the critical notes on the 80 selected artists who come from all over Italy and abroad.
On display there will be pictorial works of various kinds and themes, sculptures, digital art and installations. At the presentation table there will be the councilor for culture of the Abruzzo Region Daniele D’Amario, the mayor of Francavilla al Mare Luisa Ebe Russo, the councilor for culture of the town Cristina Rapino, the great-grandson of Francesco Paolo Michetti, architect Moses Ricci , Maria Cristina Ricciardi and Sandro Lucio Giardinelli, creator and promoter of MumArt. The event received the High Patronage of the Abruzzo Region and the municipality of Francavilla al Mare.
