From September 12 to 14, Pleven will host the eighth edition of the traditional Autumn Jazz Festival organized by the Municipality of Pleven, which offers world-class music. The beginning of the music forum is on September 12 (Thursday), place of the concerts – the park of the Regional History Museum. Entrance is free!
PROGRAM:
September 12 (Thursday) – Autumn Jazz Fest “Pleven” 2024 begins with the concert Everybody needs’sa little more jazz by Symphony “Sofia”, Jazz formation “Sofia”, Ventsi Blagoev and Ana Topalova. This first musical performance on September 12 starts at 8:30 p.m. and includes symphonic arrangements and jazz improvisations.
September 13 (Friday) – On September 13, at 8:00 p.m., the a cappella group Spetrum Vocal Band will take the stage, which will delight the audience with pop, funk, jazz and ethno with beatboxing in five-part harmony. The group consists of Ivelina Tsoneva, Vesela Morova, Daniel Nikolov, Yanko Yankov and Konstantin Beykov.
An hour later, at 9:00 p.m., a concert by the band “Zharava” begins, with leader and author of the music and arrangements Dr. Vladimir Velichkov – kaval. The audience will also have the opportunity to hear Yavor Bobev – bagpipes, Yordan Vasilev – drums, Ventsi Petkov – keyboards, and vocalists Maria Petkova, Stefani Zhelyazkova and Monika Dimireva. “Zharava” formation wins numerous admirers with its original music in the styles of jazz, fusion, world and folklore and their mixing and with its attractive stage presence.
September 14 (Saturday) – From 8:00 p.m., the audience will hear the jazz quintet Acoustic Fusion Project Sinergy, including Ventsi Blagoev – trumpet, Tsvetan Nedyalkov – guitar, Ivan Zvezdomirov – bass guitar, Tsvetan Georgiev – drums and Minko Lambev – piano, as he is also the author of the compositions and the arrangements.
At 21:00, the NG little band combo of Big band Plovdiv will offer the audience popular instrumental and vocal jazz standards, pop, funk, swing and arrangements of Bulgarian songs. Vocal performances will be by Milena Kostova.
The upcoming edition of the Autumn Jazz Fest will be accompanied by a children’s zone, art workshops – every festival day from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. without prior registration, exhibitions and pleasant surprises for visitors.
