According to a press release from the Horse Show Association, this new edition, which offers a rich and diverse program, has the theme “The Horse and Sustainable Development”.

It is “a theme that highlights and sheds light on the relationship between the horse and the equestrian world and the protection and respect of the environment,” the same source specifies.

The 14th edition of this prestigious equestrian event reaffirms the commitment of the El Jadida Horse Show to promoting Moroccan equestrian heritage and raising awareness of the importance of sustainability.

In this sense, the theme chosen for this edition highlights the role of the horse and the equine sector in the pursuit of sustainable development goals. It is an opportunity to engage in reflection on current practices and on ways to improve them to ensure a sustainable future for all.

A major and unmissable event in the promotion of the equine sector, the El Jadida Horse Show offers this year an eclectic program that will delight both the general public and professionals. It includes a variety of equestrian competitions, highlighting the high level of riders and horses from Morocco and elsewhere.

As every year, the Grand Prix of His Majesty King Mohammed VI of Show Jumping, the Grand Prix of His Majesty King Mohammed VI of Tbourida, as well as other championships of Barb, Arab-Barb and Purebred Arabian horses, will be among the highlights of the program. Created on May 20, 2008 by High Royal Instructions, the Association of the Horse Show is governed by the provisions of Dahir No. 1-58-376 of 3 Joumada I 1378 (November 15, 1958) regulating the right of association, as amended and supplemented by Dahir bearing law No. 1-73-288 of 6 Rabie I 1393 (April 14, 1973). It was recognized as being of public utility in 2010 by decree No. 2-10-505 and is chaired by Charif Moulay Abdallah Alaoui.

Its missions are to organize the El Jadida Horse Show, to work towards establishing channels of cooperation, association and communication with government institutions, the private sector, civil society and similar shows in Morocco and abroad, to encourage any activity aimed at the development and promotion of the equine sector, in particular for the socio-economic development of the rural world, to highlight the rich national cultural heritage linked to the horse as well as the equestrian traditions of the Kingdom, and to encourage the development of horse-related professions.
