The Council of the elections-and-confirms-the-delay-of-the-municipal-elections/” title=”The Election Commission announces its readiness to hold elections and confirms the delay of the municipal elections”>High National Elections Commission issued Resolution No. (110) of 2024 regarding the implementation of elections for the second group of municipal councils, with the legal mandate having expired, and new management councils for the year 2025.
According to the decision, “January 1, 2025 AD shall be set as the date for the commencement of the implementation of the legally expired municipal council elections and the new administrative councils (Second Group/2025) attached to this decision.”
According to the decision, “The public administration must develop approved plans for each stage of implementation, and take the necessary measures with regard to equipping, staffing, and financial coverage of electoral administration offices, each according to the size of the electoral process.”
He added: “This decision will be effective from the date of its issuance, and those concerned must put it into effect.”
