AIADMK co-ordinator O. Panneerselvam has issued a statement saying that the results of the recent urban local government elections in Tamil Nadu are as expected.
The report further states:
Thus the ruling party has achieved artificial success. If this election had been held one hundred percent free, honest and fair, the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam would have won a landslide victory. But it is unfortunate that that did not happen. The election that took place is not a reflection of the opinion of the people as a whole.
The All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam bows down to the verdict of the people in accordance with the motto of Anna, the Majesty’s verdict of the people.
On this occasion I would like to express my gratitude to the electorate for voting for the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam and its allies.
The All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (ADMK) has faced many setbacks in the past but has come back from them with tremendous success.
Soon there will be a democratic opportunity to express the true state of mind and will of the people, proving that ‘gambling the life of Dharma – Dharma will win again’. When that good day comes, the power of the people will win and the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam will win again according to the will of the people. This will definitely happen.
