The employment service is opening the employment offices in a hybrid way to receive the public, after they operated only virtually since the beginning of the war. Employees who were fired or resigned as a result of the war will be invited to the bureaus to meet with the placement coordinators and career counselors of the service. Workers who went on leave in October and November following the war are not required to physically report to the employment bureaus for the time being, and will continue to be in contact with the service digitally.

The employment service announced with the outbreak of the war that it was closing its offices and providing a remote response, similar to other service-providing government bodies. Now the employment service announces the reopening of the bureaus. All the bureaus, except for a few bureaus mainly from the evacuated settlements, will operate in a hybrid format.

On top of that, the ‘Employment Circles’ program returns to full physical activity. The program, intended for those who have been expelled from the labor market for a long time and are not entitled to unemployment benefits, includes meetings with an occupational coach and group workshops. According to the employment service, the program has helped to significantly reduce the number of claimants of the income support allowance in recent years.

Rami Graor, CEO of the Employment Service: “Even though throughout the war the employment service was careful to maintain continuous remote contact with the jobseekers, we learned how essential and important the physical meeting with the placement coordinators and career counselors is. The opening of the bureaus will allow us to more effectively help the jobseekers survive the crisis. Also, the opening of the bureaus will allow work continuous and powerful with the employers”.
