The entire iPhone 14 series will come with 6 GB of memory, but only in the Pro models will it be faster

The next generation of iPhones will likely be the first to show significant performance differences between the regular models and the more expensive Pro models. In the past, rumors were already published that the new A16 processor would only come to the Pro models, and now there is a report that the two models will also use different types of working memory.

According to the same report, in the regular iPhone 14 models, Apple will install LPDDR4X memory, the same as in the iPhone 13 devices, but the iPhone 14 Pro models will come with LPDDR5 memory, which offers both improved performance and greater energy efficiency. The amount of memory in all models will be 6 gigabytes, this is compared to the situation today where the cheaper models come with only 4 gigabytes of memory, and 6 in the Pro models.

Of course, this is not the end of the differences: the Pro models are expected to be the only ones that will enjoy a display with a new and flawless design, and also with the option of an always-on screen that can display the time and updates from applications even when the device is locked. All models are expected to receive an upgrade in the photography system, and in this aspect as well, it is a priority for the Pro models.

The regular models, on the other hand, are expected to look much more similar to the iPhone 13, but the mini model that failed to sell will be replaced by an all-new model called the iPhone 14 Max, with a larger screen. The official announcement is expected in September, in less than two months.
