Speaker Dr. Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury said that the environment of the country should be fixed according to our needs. All must strive to prevent environmental pollution through river pollution, leather industry waste and unplanned brick kilns.
On Sunday (March 3), the Speaker said this during a courtesy meeting with the Ambassador of Bangladesh to the Netherlands Riaz Hamidullah at his own office in Sangsad Bhavan. They discussed climate change, trade, trade fairs held in the Netherlands.
Dr. Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury said, ‘Bangladesh’s damage due to climate change is very high. In the conferences on climate issues, the adverse effects of climate change on Bangladesh should be highlighted and efforts should be made to collect compensation to deal with it.
He said, ‘Trade fair can be organized every year outside Bangladesh. This kind of trade fair can play a positive role in the expansion of various Bangladeshi services and industries.
Riaz Hamidullah, Ambassador of Bangladesh to the Netherlands, gave a publication called ‘Best of Bangladesh’ to the speaker on the occasion of the trade fair. He said, ‘Activities are ongoing to develop Bangladeshi products in the world market.’
