This is an exceptional result achieved in just a few weeks since the initiative started.
In order to unite society and encourage politicians to agree on 4% as soon as possible. In order to defend the GDP allocation, civic-minded Lithuanian businesses and organizations united for the “4 percent” initiative. She invites all citizens who are indifferent to the security of Lithuania to sign the petition on the page www.4procentai.lt, which has already been done by thousands of the country’s residents.
“4 percent” is initiated by the association “Unicorns Lithuania”, the Confederation of Lithuanian Business (LVK) and the Confederation of Lithuanian Industrialists.
More than half a dozen big Lithuanian businesses and organizations expressed their support for the initiative: the association “Investors’ Forum”, the organization “Blue/Yellow”, the companies “Telia”, “Bitė”, “Tele2”, “Tesonet”, “Vinted”, “Hostinger”, Omnisend, Nord Security, TGS Baltic and many more organizations.
All the signatures collected by the “4 percent” initiative together with the text of the petition will be forwarded to the President of the Republic of Lithuania, the Seimas and the Government.
The survey, which was conducted by the market research company Norstat LT on behalf of the “4 percent” initiative, aimed to find out what the opinion of the Lithuanian public is regarding the increase in defense funding.
