There is no other similar experience at this time: a coalition government that, furthermore, is about to repeat the experience after stopping the right and the extreme right in the last elections.
That has been the leitmotif which has guided the conference organized by the European left group between Monday and Tuesday in Madrid, a meeting that takes place every six months in the country that currently holds the rotating presidency of the European Union. But this week’s Study Days – as they call this event – had a special relevance just a few months before the European elections are held.
