These are not the only restrictions on trucks in Europe. In Austria, truck traffic is prohibited at night, from ten at night until five in the morning. In the Netherlands there is a system to prevent the entry of particularly polluting vehicles, such as trucks, into urban areas. Starting this year, only trucks with a relatively high emission standard (EURO 6) will be able to enter the city centers in 14 local authorities. Other trucks will be able to get a one-day entry permit, but only with a request in advance.

In recent years, the European Commission has launched a series of unified regulations for European countries, which includes maximum driving time for drivers, the installation of air pressure gauges in tires as well as online reports to intra-European information systems.
