Three more episodes of Harry and Meghan’s series have appeared on Netflix, and the two continue to reveal their truth about what they went through in the daily life of the British royal house.
In 2020, at the height of the crisis between Harry and the family, the young prince sat for a personal meeting with his father, his brother Prince William, and his grandmother Queen Elizabeth at what was called the “Sandringham Summit”. And this is how Harry describes her in the series: “It was scary that my brother screams and yells at me, and my father says things that just weren’t true and my grandmother sits there quietly and accepts everything.”
Prince Harry admitted in the series that it was his choice to step down from senior royal duties and leave Britain: “She never asked to leave. The claim that Meghan Markle pressured me – misogyny at its best.”
Meghan Markle said that “she did everything she could to become part of the royal family”, but “she was fed to the wolves”. The two claim there was a conspiracy against them between Buckingham Palace and the British press to find a “scapegoat” to ensure negative press about other royals “disappears”.
Meghan Markle said that the royals rebelled against her “because I’m not like them”, implying that it had to do with being the daughter of a black mother. Meghan says she felt the birth of their son Archie would help her “really become part” of the royal family, but then “the bubble burst”. “I did everything I could to make them proud and truly be part of the family.”
Harry added: “It was already clear to the media that the palace was not going to protect her. And when that moment happened, the flood came.” Meghan said that Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles were the ones who asked her to write a letter to her father in which she asked him to stop interviewing and talking about her.
