The ex-head of the Angara colony accused of receiving a large bribe

The Investigative Committee has brought charges against the former head of IK-15 of the GUFSIN for the Irkutsk Region. The ex-head of the penal colony, one of whose criminal cases is already in court, is charged with accepting a bribe on a large scale, the press service of the regional department of the RF IC reported today.

According to law enforcement officers, the head of IK-15 received a million rubles from a subordinate. This is a payment for inaction – the leader left in the service an employee of the colony, who was supposed to be fired for gross violation of discipline.

The crime was revealed by the employees of the Directorate of Internal Security of the GUFSIN.

The ex-head of the colony was detained and arrested for two months.

The Investigative Committee recalled that at the beginning of the year, the former head of IK-15 was charged with abuse of office. We are talking about the damage to the federal budget in the amount of 700 thousand rubles. The criminal case is being considered by the city court of Angarsk.

We add that in the spring of last year, prisoners of IK-15 organized riots. Let us also remind that the Investigative Committee opened several criminal cases related to the work of the institutions of the GUFSIN in the Irkutsk region. The convicts were charged with acts of a sexual nature with the use of violence, in attacks on the employees of the colonies. Several employees of the penitentiary system, in turn, became involved in criminal cases of abuse of office, negligence, as well as causing physical and psychological suffering – we are talking about beatings and torture.
