The exceptional back-to-school bonus is paid this Thursday to several million households

by time news

It was a long-awaited measure. This Thursday, 10.8 million French households will begin to receive an exceptional bonus of 100 euros – to which will be added 50 euros per dependent child. This device, provided for by the “purchasing power” law adopted this summer, was detailed in August.

This exceptional solidarity aid (AES) is intended for beneficiaries of the active solidarity income, the allowance for disabled adults, the solidarity allowance for the elderly, housing aid. Households receiving the activity bonus but not entitled to social minima will still receive 28 euros, during November, with an additional 14 euros per child.

No request to make

The premium, which did not require taking any particular steps, will be paid by the Family Allowance Fund, Pôle emploi or Crous, depending on the aid usually received. It had been presented by the Minister of Solidarity, Jean-Christophe Combe, as a “pledge of solidarity and social justice for families and for those who are strongly impacted by inflation”.

It is different from the back-to-school bonus, which is paid in two stages in August subject to means testing, to families with at least one school-going child aged six to 18.
