The meeting was an opportunity to discuss the current situation related to the pandemic and its impact on sporting activities in Morocco, the mechanisms and measures put in place by the CNOM alongside the precautionary measures to preserve the safety of Moroccan athletes, said a CNOM press release.
At this meeting, the members of the Committee’s Executive Committee reviewed a set of procedures that have been put in place and adopted as part of its work programme, particularly in this exceptional circumstance.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to discuss the postponement of the Tokyo Olympic Games, as well as the latest developments relating to these Games in coordination with the International Olympic Committee (IOC), said the CNOM, which continues to monitor the preparation of Moroccan athletes and the preparations of sports federations in anticipation of the next deadlines.
The Committee has set its schedule, continues the press release, which specifies that every Thursday will be devoted to discussing the various items on the agenda, in addition to continuing these activities permanently via videoconference.
The same source also indicated that the secretary general of the CNOM, Abdellatif Idmahamma, and its treasurer Omar Bellali are organizing remote workshops with administrators and technicians to follow sports affairs at the national and international levels and learn about the latest developments, in particular on the Olympic Games, scheduled for the summer of 2021.
