This is one of the major projects left fallow after Macron’s first five-year term. While the pensions issue is mobilizing political attention, the government is trying, bit by bit, to relaunch the reform of the state in parallel. A new envelope of 330 million euros for the period 2023-2025 was thus unveiled this Friday, which should make it possible to finance actions to transform the functioning of administrations.
“We are no longer in the era of “New public management”, which consisted in wanting to outsource everything. There is a need for a return to public action to address all the major transitions, but this must be done with an obsession for the most concrete impact for the citizen.
