It was in the pipeline, it’s now official. The English club of Exeter formalized on Monday the departure of its international hooker Luke Cowan-Dickie for Montpellier, resident of the Top 14 and reigning French champion. He has signed up for a three-year term, including one as an option, with the MHR from next July.

Luke Cowan-Dickie has 42 selections with the XV de la Rose and 3 matches with the British and Irish Lions during the South Africa tour in 2021. “Obviously it’s a different competition, a different language – which I’m going to have to learn – but I think it’s time for a change. Hopefully I still have a lot of years left in my career, but it’s a good opportunity for me to go out there and show what I can do.”commented the English hooker.
