The Root K Contemporary in Tokyo hosted the opening of the exhibition “Azerbaijani Cuisine” by fifteen young authors of the KamART Art Gallery with the support of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Japan, the organizers told Day.Az.

The Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Japan, Gursel Ismailzade, delivered a speech at the opening. The exhibition was attended by famous Japanese cultural figures Maiko Kikuchi, Matsui Kumiko, Yuko Taniguchi, Katsuyoshi Tanaka, Ichiko Kameyama, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Japan Sabr Yesimbekov, the attache of the Tajik Embassy in Japan Salokhiddin Ibodov, as well as other representatives of the diplomatic corps.

The exhibition included 32 paintings by young talented artists. Many exhibitors are winners and prize-winners of national and international art competitions. The purpose of the exhibition is to draw attention to the cultural heritage and culinary traditions of Azerbaijan and support talented young artists.

The exhibition gave a general idea of ​​the cuisine of Azerbaijan – one of the most interesting and original culinary traditions in the world, which is based on centuries-old traditions and is famous for its original dishes. Colorful compositions of young talents, like unique dishes of Azerbaijani cuisine among the most sophisticated gourmets, aroused great interest among visitors to the exhibition.
