Doha – The exhibition of Berber silver jewelry from the Royal Palace to the Museum of Islamic Art in Doha, for the first time outside Morocco, can only be a source of pride for the Qataris, said the Director from the Doha Museum of Islamic Art, Shaikha Al Nassr.
In a statement to the press on the sidelines of the inauguration ceremony of the Berber jewelry exhibition, marking the kick-off of the Qatar-Morocco cultural year 2024, Shaikha Al Nassr welcomed the welcome of this collection of 220 captivating works, unveiled for the first time outside the Kingdom.
In this regard, she expressed her thanks to the National Museum Foundation which put in place all the appropriate conditions for the organization of this event.
The Qatar-Morocco Cultural Year 2024 plans a series of activities and events as varied as they are exciting in a spirit of learning, sharing experiences and promoting ties between the two countries.
For his part, Al Jazi Khayarin, spokesperson for the “Cultural Years” initiative, underlined that the choice of Morocco as Qatar’s partner for the 2024 cultural year illustrates the depth of relations of friendship and bilateral cooperation. , noting that this event which will be marked by the holding of multiple activities in the two countries will make it possible to reinvigorate relations of cooperation and partnership, particularly in the cultural field.
