Daniel Martinez RodriguezVice Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Community of Madrid, will inaugurate the exhibition that will house for a few days the projects carried out during the IV Game Jam Madrid Creaan initiative organized by DEV and the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Sports of the Community of Madrid.
The 8 games highlighted by the organization, in addition to all the games developed throughout the 4 editions of the Game Jam, will be available to anyone who wants to try them from Thursday 2 to Saturday 4 February 2023 at the headquarters of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Sports of the Community of Madrid, at calle Alcalá 31.
The Thursday, February 2 at 5:30 p.m. will take place opening day of the exhibition (limited capacity), which will be attended by Maria SayansCEO of Ustwo Gamesa London studio that has grown year after year thanks to the success of the two Monument Valley games —considered classics in mobile games— and their close relationship with Apple that led them to launch Assemble with Care exclusively.
On this occasion, he will talk about the development of ‘Alba – A Wildlife Adventure’ And like this moving story on a Mediterranean island, it promotes recycling and caring for the environment for all audiences.
On Friday, February 3 at 6:00 p.m., the MeetUp FemDevs ‘Meeting of women fans and industry professionals’ will take place, in which developers from different fields will speak and present their experiences about the Madrid Crea jam and other jams, with advice and recommendations (registration link)
The purpose of the Game Jam Madrid Crea is to create games focused on a cultural, tourist, historical or natural aspect of the Community of Madrid. the jam counted with two modalities, online and face-to-face. This second was held at the headquarters of ESNE, University School of Design, Innovation and Technology. In addition, the face-to-face participants have traveled on the historic Strawberry Train to Aranjuezcity in which they have developed their games on the campus of the King Juan Carlos University.
