/ Al-Quwa Club team held on to the lead after a victory over Al-Hodood team, on Tuesday, in a postponed match from the previous round of the Iraq Stars Football League for the 2023-2024 season.

The match took place at two-thirty at Al-Kout Olympic Stadium, which is the virtual stadium for the Air Force, and ended with the latter’s victory with a score of 3-2, thus bringing the team to 19 points to hold onto the top spot in the league.

The first half ended with Al-Hodood leading by two goals to one for Air Force. Al-Hodood’s first goal came via a penalty kick due to Air Force player Ruslan Hanoun obstructing the Al-Hodood player inside the penalty area, and the kick was successfully executed by player Ibrahim Ghazi in the 23rd minute.

Air Force player Raslan Hanoun again committed another mistake by touching the ball inside the penalty area, giving the referee of the match, Wathiq Muhammad, a second penalty kick for the border, which was successfully executed by Ibrahim Ghazi to score the second goal for his team in the 45th minute + 3, thus becoming the top scorer with seven goals.

Shortly before the end of extra time, Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya reduced the gap after substitute Hussein Jabbar scored in the 45th + 6th minute a goal for Al-Quwa.

In the second half, Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya scored the adjustment goal in the 52nd minute through Muhannad Abdel Rahim, and in the 64th minute, Ayman Hussein scored Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya’s third goal.
