Arifin Shubo, the popular hero of Dhakai cinema, has ended his married life of nine and a half years. He said in a statement on Wednesday (July 31) night that he had a breakup with his wife Arpita on July 20.

Referring to the hesitancy and shyness about giving this news of personal life in such a situation of the country, Arifin writes at the beginning of the auspicious statement, ‘I feel a lot of hesitation and shyness to tell something personal in such a situation of the country. Even so, it seems that the time has come to tell you about it.’

At 9:25 PM on Wednesday, Shubo wrote on social media, ‘It is with great sadness that I and Arpita may be fine as friends, not as life partners. We have reached this decision on July 20, we will live the rest of our lives as we agree with the friendship.’

After that, he acknowledged his gratitude and debt to the former. He wrote, ‘Despite many ups and downs, I am eternally grateful and indebted to Arpita for what she has done for me and my mother.’

Shubo says to fans at this difficult time in his personal life, ‘Life has become completely empty after mother’s departure. But, I believe, your prayers and love are with me, with which I can live the rest of my life beautifully and healthily.’

This Dhallywood hero also spoke about the recent quota movement in the country. Shubo wrote in the last part of the statement, ‘I wish for the forgiveness of the souls of those who lost their lives, including the students, and the speedy recovery of the injured. May peace come to everyone’s life, may peace return to the country too, with this wish.’
