The famous Coca-Cola Caravan is launching again in this holy month, to celebrate the month of giving, piety and gratitude. The activities of the caravan will not only spread joy and happiness throughout the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan during Iftar time, but will also aim to support the efforts of the local non-profit organization “Tkiyet Um Ali” to distribute 2.4 million Iftar meals and Coca-Cola drinks as part of food rations for needy families.

In this context, the Coca-Cola brand took the initiative to replace its stickers on the 1.2-liter and 2-liter bottles with other stickers inspired by the month of goodness and charity, to encourage consumers to donate breakfast meals to those in need. Throughout the holy month of Ramadan, consumers who purchase any Coca-Cola beverage can donate Iftar meals through the local non-profit organization Tkiyet Um Ali using the QR code on each package. This exceptional campaign launched by Coca-Cola aims to motivate consumers to contribute to providing equal opportunities for everyone, not only to eat breakfast after fasting, but also to eliminate differences between the various segments of society during this blessed month.

On this occasion, Andrew Buckingham, Vice President and General Manager of The Coca-Cola Company in the Middle East, said: “We continue to affirm our commitment to making a positive difference in the communities in which we operate and operate. Through our close cooperation with our bottling partner, CCI, we are very pleased to make the holy month of Ramadan this year a unique opportunity to spread joy and happiness in Amman through Coca-Cola Caravan events.”

He added, “I feel very proud of the endeavors we have recently launched to transform our packaging into a tool that significantly contributes to motivating goodness and benevolence, through our new posters that encourage community members to contribute to eliminating differences in all their forms during the holy month of Ramadan. Today, we are pleased to launch this partnership with the Tkiyet Um Ali Foundation, to support its benevolent humanitarian efforts.”

The Coca-Cola Company and Tkiyet Um Ali will also take the initiative to organize three major iftar banquets for the needy, where members of local communities will be able to break their fast together in an atmosphere of joy, participation and familiarity.

For his part, Samer Balkar, General Manager of Tkiyet Um Ali, said: “We are proud of our partnership with Coca-Cola Middle East and CCI in implementing this prominent humanitarian initiative to support less fortunate families across the Kingdom during the holy month this year. This initiative is a unique opportunity to share breakfast with those in need and contribute to distributing breakfast meals to less fortunate families.”

It is worth noting that Coca-Cola Middle East has taken the initiative this year to expand the scope of the “Caravan Coca-Cola” Ramadan campaign, which started in Iraq last year, to also include the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and Kuwait. This initiative will contribute to the distribution of more than three million iftar meals to the less fortunate families during the holy month.

Tkiyet Um Ali was established in Amman in 2003 and is considered the first non-profit organization of its kind in the Arab world to eradicate hunger.

Today, Tkiyet Um Ali provides sustainable food aid to 20,000 families living below the food poverty line in all governorates of the Kingdom, through distributing monthly food parcels throughout the year, each containing 19 foodstuffs sufficient to meet the basic nutritional needs of the family. for a whole month.
