A Chinese company called Infinix, whose devices cannot be obtained in Israel, breaks the record for wired charging and wireless charging at the same time

You may have never heard of Infinix Mobile, which is quite logical considering that its devices have never been offered for sale in Israel – but the manufacturer that shares a parent company with the brands Tecno and Itel (also apparently unknown to users from Israel) has been gaining momentum in recent years in several other countries, and pretends to challenge the other Chinese actresses who are better known on the international stage in terms of technology. A new technology inside a prototype called All-Round Fast Charge should be the one that will help it gain more headlines than ever in the near future – with a full charge for the 4,400mAh battery within six minutes of connecting to the socket.

This is a specially adapted version of an official device that was launched under the name Infinix Zero Ultra last October, with a 6.8-inch AMOLED screen, a Dimensity 920 chip and a 4,500mAh battery with 180W wired charging. In the latest version, you will find a 4,400mAh battery with support for 260 watt wired charging and also 110 watt wireless charging, where both of these figures are higher than what can be found in any smartphone sold on the market at the moment – even most laptops with advanced charging do not reach such powers with wired charging, in fact.

The difference compared to wired charging that already exists in stores is only 20 watts, apparently – but according to the first tests, the difference in total charging time is significant and much more impressive

Those who tend to follow developments in the field of charging already know that a statement about the maximum power often does not paint the full picture about the charging capacity of a device, since usually the device only manages to reach it in a short part of the complete charging cycle, while the rest of the time the practical charging power is lower in a manner derived from technology The battery, its internal structure and the temperature of the various components that take part in the process. What is just as important and probably even more important than the peak power is the full charging profile of the product, so we have already come across examples of devices with slower charging on paper that in practice provided better data than those of models with a higher declared power.

In the case of Infinix and its All Round Fast Charge concept, we have good news – on the GSMArena website they received the unit for testing and reported that the actual charging time from zero percent capacity to 100 percent capacity is slightly less than six and a half minutes on average, with several tests completing the feat even in less than six minutes while others did it in slightly more than seven minutes. No matter how you look at it, these are crazy and even groundbreaking numbers – especially when next to them a maximum internal temperature of 47 degrees Celsius was recorded for the battery, which is considered absolutely reasonable and gives hope that it will be possible to provide such charging rates in a practical way without compromising the reliability or longevity of the batteries .

If that’s not enough, the wireless charging via the corresponding dedicated charging stand went from zero percent capacity to one hundred percent capacity in less than 14 minutes – faster than most smart devices on the market, even if the figure itself of 110 watts is apparently not one of the highest available in an era in which Various Chinese manufacturers offer us (wired) charging of 120 watts, 150 watts and even 240 watts. As part of the charging process, the device reached 44 percent capacity within 5 minutes, 73 percent capacity within 10 minutes and, as mentioned, a complete charge in less than fifteen minutes.

Xiaomi has already demonstrated 300 watt wired charging that brought a 4,100mAh battery from zero to 100 percent capacity in less than five minutes – but Infinix’s technology is the first of the two for which we also receive results from an independent third-party source, so as of this moment it takes the lead

It is not yet known when Infinix will offer these intriguing technologies to the general public in practice, but we will keep our fingers crossed that their very demonstration will encourage competing manufacturers, who sell their goods in Israel, to continue developing and upgrading to meet the challenge – so that we can all enjoy these fruits sooner or later .
