Drama in the ultra-orthodox city of Beitar Illit: During a summer show by the ultra-Orthodox artist of the senses, the mentalist Manny Hollander, one of the fathers in the show beat one of the children vigorously. The unusual incident led to the show being stopped and the father detained for investigation.
According to witnesses present at the scene, the background to the beating of the boy by the father was a fight that developed between two children over a seat, until suddenly the father of one of the children intervened in the incident and hit the other boy, the one who faced his son on the seat, with vigorous blows.
A commotion broke out in the performance hall and dozens of curious people gathered there.
The ending was disappointing for the viewers and for Hollander, when police forces called to the scene stopped the show – and detained the father for questioning.
