Authorities has determined to purchase 1 lakh 70 thousand tons of fertilizer from Canada, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and home firm Kafco for the present fiscal 12 months via state contracts. It can value 632 crore 72 lakh 22 thousand taka to purchase this fertilizer. This contains 90 thousand tons of urea, 40 thousand tons of MOP and 40 thousand tons of DAP fertilizers.
The acquisition of this fertilizer was permitted within the assembly of the Cupboard Committee on Public Procurement held within the convention room of the Cupboard Division on the Secretariat on Wednesday (Could 15).
