First during qualifying for the final, Amdivie Kouhounha with a performance of 23sec72 overtook Hervéola Kèkè (25sec81) and Faustine Kounnou (30sec23). “I am happy to win this competition. My wish is to do everything possible to excel in this discipline,” informed the champion. For his part, Marc-Aurel in the Men’s Speed ​​Run crushed the competition with a record time of 15sec40. What he says cannot be undone. “I never imagined myself doing this performance. It’s just incredible. I worked and I think that’s what paid off. All I have to do is keep the momentum going. The brand new champion praised his competitors who pushed him through the remarkable times too. They are Luthin Aguégué (17sec34) silver medalist and Carlos Béhanzin (17sec81) bronze medalist.
In Free Style, Kévin Hounsou, with a score of 20.25, took the best place ahead of Luthin Aguégué (2nd with 17.25) and Modeste Tankpinou (3rd with 16.75).
President Léonide Isidore Gbaguidi welcomed the holding of the championship and stressed that there is a future for the practice of this Parkour discipline for practitioners in the country.
