The Cadaqués Places Festival will bring together about fifteen artists between July 1 and August 27 who will play music in unique corners of the municipality of Alt Empordà. The free festival in the public space will celebrate its second edition in seven spaces “of high landscape and architectural value”. Among the groups that will pass through the Places are names like Calon, Mireia Pla i FerdinandSalinas, Four, AB3, Athrodeel, Bofirax, daniel happy, Pablito, Iris Deco, Sergio Estella, From La Carmela o Playback maracas. The opening of the festival will be the responsibility of the “private universe” of the Escarteen Sisterswhile the closing will be led by the “unclassifiable music” of MisBehaving.
According to a press release, the program has been “more festive, danceable and fresh, always promoting an identity trait such as the salty accent that the people of Cadaqués continue to maintain.” “Indrets wants to underline and vindicate the spaces that identify the town with a new cycle of concerts that becomes a reference both for its quality and for its location and idiosyncrasy, in outdoor spaces and in which quality musicians and renown, ”they said.
Among the fifteen groups that will perform are a variety of musical styles, ranging from classical music to jazz, electronic, flamenco, world music, folk, pop rock and experimental music.
Apart from the concerts, the festival invites you to discover the secrets hidden in the historic center of Cadaqués, by Rutes Cadaqués and its creator Mercè Donat. It is a paid activity that is a walking tour to go “through the depths of the wonderful streets of the old town, stepping out step by step its history and identity.”
