Like their co-religionists from several Muslim countries, the citizens of Labé, celebrated the feast of Eid el Fitr on Wednesday April 10. In the urban commune of Labé, thousands of faithful took part in prayer in Bowloko which houses the largest place of prayer.
In his sermon for the occasion, the first imam of Labé first returned to the importance of continuing to worship God before providing advice to young people.
“Ramadan went like a dream. Those who fasted properly, Ramadan will be their witness before the Creator in the right way. And those who fasted badly, Ramadan will put them in harm’s way before God. May God accept our fast. It’s not because Ramadan is over that we have to dive back into sins. Whatever you abandon during Ramadan, you must not do that again. Concerning alms, if you have not removed this sacrifice until now, once you come home, make it possible to pay it, since alms is the key to the door between fasting and God. You are taking away for your entire family, for everyone under your responsibility. Young people, do not celebrate this holiday by taking drugs. Otherwise you will make your family, your country cry. You are the future of Guinea,” advised Elhadj Thierno Mamadou Badrou Bah.
