The FFF has not received satisfactory feedback on its call for tenders launched in mid-April for the TV rights to the matches of Les Bleues, D1 Arkema and the Champions Trophy.

Beyond the fiasco around the broadcast of the next Women’s World Cup from July 20 to August 20, which has still not found broadcasters in France, for its part, the FFF’s call for tenders to broadcast women’s football has still not found a buyer.

On April 13, the FFF launched a first call for the acquisition of women’s football TV rights including the matches of Les Bleues, D1 and the Champions Trophy until 2027. The first returns were expected for May 4, but the broadcasters asked for a deadline until May 12 to submit their offers. These last returns did not live up to expectations, which did not allow the Federation to award the slightest prize.

Without the slightest satisfactory return, the FFF is obliged to start over-the-counter negotiations with potential buyers. For the time being, these have not yet started according to the team.

Today, Canal+ broadcasts D1 against an annual check of 1.2 million euros, while the M6 group retransmits Les Bleues for an amount of around 4 million euros per year.
