In Moscow on Wednesday, October 27, the All-Russian Student Olympiad “I am a Professional” was launched, the organizers of the event prepared new directions for the participants. Thus, students will be able to try their skills in “Genetic Technologies”, “Medicine of the Future” and “Knowledge of Languages”.
According to the first deputy head of the presidential administration of the Russian Federation, Sergei Kiriyenko, students are the best time to try and experiment.
“Then the working life will begin <...> we are older than you and we understand this well from our own experience – you are now having the golden age, ”Kiriyenko said in an interview with REN TV.
The participants of the Olympiad will receive various prizes and awards that the partners of the competition have prepared for them. For example, one of these prizes will be the opportunity to travel across Russia.
Earlier, on May 25, Kiriyenko said that more than 570 thousand people applied for participation in the All-Russian Student Olympiad “I am a Professional”. He also clarified that 57% of those who applied for participation in the Olympiad are girls.
The Olympiad “I am a professional” is held with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. Registration for participation in the Olympiad started on September 26. All Russian students and university graduates who received their diploma no earlier than 2014 can apply. The project is aimed at developing a system of social lifts in the country and supporting talented students of various specialties. The competition will allow them to continue their studies at the leading state university and start a career in a large company.
The first Olympiad was held in 2017, 295 thousand applications were received for participation in 27 directions. Then 2030 people became prize-winners.
