Imagination and thrills tonight on Rai 4 with “Fantasy Island”. The plot of the film inspired by the cult series of the 70s, “Fantasilandia”
Rai 4, in the early evening of Tuesday 12 March, will take its viewers to an island where everything is possible with the first-run film “Fantasy Island” (2020).
Inspired by a cult TV series from the 70s, known in Italy as “Fantasilandia”, “Fantasy Island” is a fantasy-horror reworking of the concept who was behind the show in seven seasons with Ricardo Montalbán.
In this modern film version, produced by Jason Blum, the influencer Melanie, the policeman Patrick Randall, the introverted Elena and the brothers Brax and Bradley win a stay on Fantasy Island, an island with a mysterious location where every fantasy can come true, at least that’s what the claim created by the manager Mr. Roarke says. To welcome them is Roarke himself who, after an in-depth interview with each guest on the island, will try to realize all the fantasies that will be requested thanks to the magical influence of the island itself.
However, fantasies do not always evolve as the guest imagines and once activated they must necessarily reach their natural end. In a gripping adventure in which fun mixes with the macabre and action, a rich cast stands out which sees Michael Peña (“Narcos: Mexico”, “Ant-Man”) in pole position in the role of Mr. Roake and Lucy Hale (“Truth or Dare,” “Pretty Little Liars”) and Maggie Q (“Die Hard,” “The Divergent Series”) as guests on the island.
