The fine that can be given if you do not comply with these rules when pouring gasoline

by time news

Gas stations are increasingly safe spaces, but handling fuel always carries certain security risks, before the threat of possible explosions or fires. For this reason, the Traffic Regulations point out severe sanctions for those who fail to comply with the protection measures.

Despite how accustomed one may be to refueling regularly and handling a gas station hose, the truth is that we must be careful with some regulations, not only for our own safety -and that of the local workers-, but also because we would also be under threat of a fine of 100 euros.

The rules you should not forget

First of all, something that comes from common sense: you must turn off the engine of the refueled vehicle before adding gasoline or diesel, since they are highly flammable and this way possible risks would be avoided.

In addition, they must turn off electrical systems -radio, lights, built-in televisions, chargers, etc.- and you cannot use electronic devices, such as mobile phoneslaptops or tablets, due to the electromagnetic radiation they emit, so that it does not come into contact with the fuel elements.

All this is contemplated by article 115 of the Traffic Regulations, which indicates that “the owners of fuel distribution devices or employees of the latter may not provide fuel for their load” if these regulations are not complied with.
