The fine that will affect all pensioners who do not report this to Social Security

by time news

Spanish pensioners have been facing increasingly precarious conditions for years. Despite this, all those with incomes of less than 8,614 euros per year who do not receive the minimum pension can access a minimum supplement.

This help is given to people who have retirement pensions, permanent disability, widows, orphans or in favor of relatives. Well then, Social Security has just launched a notice asking that the beneficiaries of this supplement prove their right by means of an income certificate before the end of March.

If the certificate is not presented within the period that has been given, it can lead to a sanction and it is also possible that the minimum supplement will be withdrawn.

In total, this fine could affect 25% of pensions, more specifically, 2177222 people, according to data from the Ministry of Labour, Migration and Social Security.

Having said this, it is urgent that if we have a family member or acquaintance who takes advantage of this help, we notify them about the documentation that they have to present before they receive a sanction.
