The fire at the house of the hermit Agafia broke out from behind a red-hot stove

by time news

Experts have named a preliminary version of the cause of the fire that occurred in the barn of the hermit Agafya Lykova. Most likely, the room caught fire due to the overheating of the furnace, RIA Novosti reports today with reference to the press service of the Emergencies Ministry’s headquarters for Khakassia.

Earlier there was information about a fire in a barn at the Lykova hut, located at a distance from her house in the Khakassky reserve. The Siberian hermit was not hurt. The fire was extinguished by three volunteers living in the settlement, the Ministry of Emergency Situations said. The department added that the building damaged by the fire is not the main one in Agafia’s household.
