In Slavyanka Mountain, the situation with the fire that has been raging for twenty days remains complicated, explained the Regional Administration in Blagoevgrad. On the west side, the fire is currently contained. It is active from the east. The clearing is being widened to stop the fire perimeter from expanding. A helicopter and planes from Sweden operate from the air. The terrain is very rugged and does not allow entry with manpower. There is no danger for populated areas, reports the Regional Administration in Blagoevgrad.
Near the village of Senokos, the fire is largely under control. There are small outbreaks in one or two places, but they are in hard-to-reach places and cannot be extinguished. The fires are fenced and monitored by employees of the State Forestry – Simitli. There is no danger to settlements and people.
Teams of the fire department are monitoring the area of extinguished flames in the Maleshev mountain. No new outbreaks. There is no danger for the people in the village of Tsaparevo and the village of Karpelevo.
The atmosphere is also calm on Mount Sinanitsa. The terrain there is constantly monitored by Pirin National Park teams.
