The first benchmark of the A18 Pro and the further measurement values of the A18 are shown – amazing performance | reportYesterday, the first Geekbench speed measurement of the Apple A18, which the company is installing in the new iPhone 16 and 16 Plus, appeared. Here, the A18 achieved a respectable 3,114 points in the single-core benchmark, but a lower 6,666 points in the Geekbench test suite’s multi-core test. The fact that the multi-core measurement is a fake result is now confirmed by further measurements that have now appeared in the Geekbench database.

Especially high single core value
The new measurements paint an even better picture: Overall, the A18 achieved a very high single-core score of 3,410 points – almost 300 higher than yesterday’s score. The multi-core rating of 8,420 is as fast as the M1 without a name suffix, which comes with four performance and four performance cores (instead of two performance and four performance cores in the A18).

A18 and A18 Pro are fast
As expected, the A18 and A18 Pro are exactly the same speed when it comes to the CPU. Apple also did not change the processor clock, as it is 4.04 GHz for both chips. A18 and A18 Pro differ only in terms of a faster processor and an upgraded Neural engine – the A18 Pro has no advantages or disadvantages for CPU-intensive tasks.

M4 remains faster in the single-core benchmark – but only because of clock speed
Compared to the M4, which Apple currently uses in the iPad Pro, the A18 is a bit slower in the single-core benchmark. The M4 achieved 3,650 points here – the A18 3,410. However, the M4 in the iPad Pro clocks in at 4.4 GHz, which is around 400 MHz higher than that of the iPhone 16, so the speed advantage can almost be attributed to the higher clock speed.
