Al-Marsad newspaper: “Massad Al-Awfi”, the donor of a heart from the Emirates, told the story of the heart transplant operation at King Faisal Specialist Hospital.
Al-Awfi said, I thank God that they found a heart, and the Specialized Hospital did not fail to take care of me.
He continued, “I had a weak heart muscle and a blockage in the arteries, and they told me that the heart was almost dead and I needed a transplant.”
Massad Al-Awfi explained that he stayed in the hospital for two months, waiting, before they found the heart in the Emirates and brought it here.
He stressed, I do not know what would happen to me if they did not find the heart in the Emirates, and how I would have lived on an artificial heart! .
